The Mundaring and Hills Historical Society's (MHHS) aim is to involve the people of the Shire of Mundaring in the preservation, documentation and interpretation of the history and culture of the Perth Hills.

Mundaring District Museum was opened in November 1997 the museum is housed in the Old School building (c.1908) in the Mundaring town centre. This museum enables the MHHS local history collection to come "alive" - and not just gather dust! The past ten years have seen many exhibitions, displays and events at the museum for the benefit of the whole community.
