The Museum is housed in Clare's first public building (1851) for Police Barracks and Courthouse. Holds collections of clothing, artefacts, local early records and photographs (copies can be ordered), wagons and farm implements. Clare is one of Australia's important wine producing area with 38 wineries in the area, approx 136km from Adelaide by road.Approx. 2000 photographs pf pioneers - pioneer clothing and domestic farming artefacts.
The Museum holds a collection of artefacts from the Old World, from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages. These include decorative pottery and terracotta, glassware, coins, bronze work, stone carving, oil lamps and writing materials from ancient Greece, the Roman Empire and the Near East; a large scale model of the ancient city of Athens; and a collection of cast replicas of classical statues.Estimated 800 artefacts, plus approximately 1,500 coins
The Riddoch Art Gallery is South Australia's only publicly-funded and professionally-staffed regional gallery. It is named in honour of grazier and Philanthropist, John Riddoch, who donated the original collection of early Australian and British works. The contents of the Museum reflect the life of Kapunda through home, work, sport and farming. The Museum covers some 11,000 square feet depicting all aspects of lifestyles and working life in Kapunda. There are important collections relating to copper mining, manufacture of farm implements, the Hawke Foundry and social life. The Kapunda Museum is managed by the Kapunda Historical Society Inc. The Museum has been developed in the old One Tree Hill School building, c1854 (previously Uleybury School) as a classroom containing educational furniture and material through the years. There is also a craft shed with displays of children's art/craft. Founded by Professor John Elliot in 1954, the Classics Museum has grown to comprise a substantial collection of antiquities including representative examples of art and artefacts of ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, Etruria and Rome. Most notable are 100 Greek vases, many of them fine specimens of painted decoration, and some 500 ancient coins ranging from the invention of coins to the end of the Roman Empire.750 items

Built by Thomas White in 1841, White House displays a fine collection of 17th and 18th century oak furniture, china, icons, paintings, prints, pewter and copper. The outbuildings house early bicycles, horse drawn vehicles, vintage cars and a special display of toys and miniature furnishings. In this local history interpretation centre, an excellent collection of early photographs of the region are displayed with relevant objects, including wooden interactive models relating to mining. Fifteen historical monographs have been published and are for sale. The Allport Library and Museum of Fine Arts is one of the State Library of Tasmania's heritage collections. It contains a collection of 18th and 19th century furniture, colonial paintings, silver and objets d'art, fine china and rare and antique books.
